Tips

1. You have to stitch the merino wool together several times. You do this by slightly separating the ends. Place over each other and warm and rub with your hands. Thick merino wool can be thinned out slightly.
2. The blanket may fluff a little, you can prevent this by felting it a little by wetting it slightly with a plant sprayer (spray lightly). You can then put the blanket (or something else) in the dryer, pay attention! Not too long, 2-3 minutes is enough. Or let the blanket dry on a flat surface. It dries in the shape of how it lies.

Washing instructions

Washing merino wool products is not recommended. The wool can therefore lose its lightness and softness and it can start to pill and fluff.

Wool has a high self-cleaning ability because it naturally contains lanolin (wool fat). This makes it dirt-repellent. Airing your knitting outside on a line, preferably on a frosty morning, is usually sufficient.

However, if you still find it necessary to wash, keep the following in mind. You can have your super thick knitting cleaned at the dry cleaners. You can also wash it by hand with a mild wool detergent such as Eucalan. Immerse the wool completely in cold to lukewarm water. Press gently until the wool is thoroughly wet. But be careful: move the wool as little as possible, otherwise you run the risk of it becoming felted. You don't want that! Also avoid sudden temperature changes; that can also lead to felting.
